Head of Planning (Partner) | Birmingham | Leading National Law Firm
Are you a Planning Partner looking for the opportunity to lead, shape and grow a successful planning practice?
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Planning Partner to head up the Birmingham planning team of this highly regarded national law firm. This appointment offers genuine autonomy, the backing of an established real estate practice and the opportunity to play a key role in the firm's continued growth across the Midlands.
THE ROLE:
As Head of Planning, you will lead and develop the firm's planning offering across Birmingham and the wider Midlands. Acting for a diverse client base including national developers, housebuilders, landowners, local authorities, investors and commercial organisations, you will advise on all aspects of planning law, including planning applications, strategic land, Section 106 agreements, highways agreements, compulsory purchase, judicial review and major regeneration projects.
Working alongside highly regarded real estate, construction and environmental teams, you will be responsible for driving business development, mentoring junior lawyers and implementing the strategic growth plans for the practice.
THE CANDIDATE:
Applications are welcomed from established Planning Partners or ambitious Legal Directors looking to step into their first Partnership leadership role. You will have an impressive track record of advising on complex planning matters, an established network within the Midlands market and a genuine enthusiasm for developing both clients and people.
A following would be advantageous, although candidates with a demonstrable history of winning work and developing long-term client relationships are equally encouraged to apply.
THE FIRM:
This national practice enjoys an outstanding reputation across the UK and continues to invest heavily in its Birmingham office. With a collaborative culture, first-class resources and an ambitious growth strategy, the firm offers an excellent platform for an experienced planning lawyer looking to make a lasting impact.
ON OFFER:
Partnership role with responsibility for leading the Birmingham Planning team.
High-quality existing client base and significant cross-referral opportunities.
Genuine autonomy to shape and grow the practice.
Competitive remuneration and attractive benefits package.
Flexible and hybrid working options.
Clear investment in the continued growth of the Planning team.
If you're ready to take the lead and build something exceptional within a firm that is committed to investing in both its people and its future, we'd be delighted to have a confidential conversation.
