We are seeking a dedicated Careers Advisor to join a thriving Further Education environment, supporting students aged 16-18 and beyond to make informed decisions about education, training, apprenticeships, higher education, and employment opportunities.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a qualified careers professional who thrives on making a real difference and enjoys working with learners from a wide range of backgrounds.

What You'll Be Doing

Delivering impartial one-to-one careers guidance and coaching sessions

Supporting students with progression into Higher Education, apprenticeships, T Levels and employment

Designing and delivering engaging employability workshops and careers education sessions

Using Labour Market Information (LMI) to support informed career planning

Supporting learners with SEND and additional support needs

Building relationships with employers, universities, training providers and community partners

Organising careers fairs, employer engagement activities and progression events

Monitoring student destinations and contributing to Gatsby Benchmark and Ofsted requirements

What We're Looking For

Level 6 (or above) Careers Guidance qualification (QCG or Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development)

Experience delivering careers guidance to post-16 learners

Strong knowledge of Gatsby Benchmarks and careers education frameworks

Understanding of Ofsted expectations and student progression outcomes

Excellent communication, organisation and IT skills

Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and external stakeholders

Commitment to safeguarding and supporting young people to succeed
