Description
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing end-to-end monthly payroll
- Managing starters, leavers and employee changes
- Administering overtime, shift payments and statutory payments
- Managing salary sacrifice arrangements and pension administration
- Completing payroll reconciliations and validation checks
- Investigating and resolving employee and manager payroll queries
- Producing payroll reports and management information
- Supporting year-end processes including P60s and statutory reporting
- Liaising with HMRC, pension providers and third-party suppliers
- Assisting with payroll system improvements, testing and future projects
- Deputising for the Senior Payroll Manager when required
Profile
We're looking for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can provide both technical expertise and excellent stakeholder support.
You'll have:
- Significant experience delivering end-to-end payroll independently
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, PAYE, NI and statutory payments
- MHR iTrent Payroll experience
- Time & Attendance system experience
- Experience administering pensions and auto-enrolment
- Excellent payroll reconciliation and audit skills
- Experience dealing with complex payroll queries
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- The confidence to challenge, influence and work with stakeholders across the business
- CIPP qualification (or studying towards) desirable
- Payroll systems implementation or testing experience desirable
- Experience working with shift-based or operational workforces desirable
