Robert Walters
Newly Qualified Personal Injury Solicitor

Salary:£33,000+

Location: Birmingham

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Newly Qualified Personal Injury Solicitor to join a highly respected legal practice in Birmingham, renowned for its unwavering commitment to social justice and client advocacy.

This role is perfect for those who are passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of individuals affected by personal injury, while developing their expertise within a collaborative and nurturing environment. You will benefit from hybrid working arrangements, comprehensive support from experienced colleagues, and a clear pathway for professional growth.

The organisation offers an impressive range of financial, lifestyle, and wellbeing benefits, ensuring you feel valued both inside and outside of work. If you are looking to advance your career with a firm that prioritises teamwork, inclusivity, and meaningful impact, this is the ideal next step.

What you'll do:

  • Support on a diverse caseload of multi-track personal injury matters, assisting senior lawyers while gradually taking ownership of your own files as your confidence grows.
  • Progress intermediate non-issued cases independently with the opportunity to handle issued matters as your experience develops within the team.
  • Collaborate closely with experienced colleagues to gain insight into the full lifecycle of complex personal injury claims, from initial instruction through to successful settlement.
  • Deliver empathetic and professional client care at every stage of the litigation process, ensuring clients feel supported and informed throughout their case journey.
  • Utilise case management systems efficiently to maintain accurate records, monitor deadlines, and ensure compliance with all procedural requirements.
  • Contribute positively to a fast-paced yet supportive team environment that values open communication, knowledge sharing, and collective problem-solving.
  • Participate in regular supervision sessions designed to enhance your technical skills and provide guidance as you take on increasing responsibility within the department.
  • Engage in ongoing training opportunities aimed at deepening your understanding of personal injury law and best practices in litigation.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to case preparation, including drafting correspondence, preparing court documents, and liaising with external experts when required.

What you bring:

To excel as a Newly Qualified Personal Injury Solicitor within this esteemed Birmingham team, you will bring proven experience from either personal injury or broader litigation roles-ideally having managed your own caseloads or provided robust support on litigated files.

Your background should reflect not only technical proficiency but also an innate ability to connect compassionately with clients facing challenging situations. Familiarity with fast track or intermediate track claims will serve you well as you navigate varied case complexities. Beyond technical know-how, your interpersonal strengths-such as clear communication, reliability under pressure, and sensitivity towards others-will enable you to thrive in this collaborative setting. A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and adapting processes ensures that you remain at the forefront of best practice while contributing positively to team goals. Your dedication to delivering outstanding service will help reinforce the organisation's reputation for excellence in client care.

What sets this company apart:

This organisation stands out as one of the UK's most principled legal practices dedicated exclusively to representing individuals rather than employers or insurers.

With an impressive history marked by landmark victories that have shaped employment rights, compensation law, and access to justice nationwide, it continues its mission-driven work today. The culture is deeply rooted in collaboration, mutual respect, and shared purpose: employees are empowered by supportive leadership that values wellbeing just as much as professional achievement.

Comprehensive benefits-including generous pension contributions, life assurance, permanent health insurance, annual travel loans, cycle-to-work schemes, subsidised sports clubs, healthcare cash plans, employee assistance programmes offering confidential support around-the-clock-reflect an authentic commitment to staff welfare. Enhanced family leave policies further demonstrate how much this employer values work-life balance. For those seeking not just a job but a chance to contribute meaningfully within an inclusive community focused on fairness and positive change, there are few better places to grow your legal career.
