An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Corporate Finance professional to join a leading advisory firm as an Assistant Director in Birmingham. This role offers the chance to play a key role in deal execution, lead client relationships and progress towards Director level in a high-performing team.

Our client is a well-established corporate finance advisory boutique with a strong reputation for delivering mid-market transactions across the UK. The firm works closely with owner-managed businesses, private equity investors and corporates, providing tailored advice across M&A, disposals, acquisitions and strategic advisory engagements. With a growing Midlands presence, the team is looking to appoint an Assistant Director to support continued deal flow and expansion.
Description
- Lead the execution of corporate finance transactions from initial mandate through to completion
- Manage day-to-day client relationships, acting as a key point of contact for stakeholders
- Support origination activity, including identifying and developing new business opportunities
- Oversee financial modelling, valuation analysis and preparation of marketing materials
- Mentor and develop junior team members, ensuring high-quality deliverables
- Work closely with senior leadership on strategic assignments and complex deals
Profile
- Extensive experience within corporate finance, M&A or transaction services, preferably within a mid-market or advisory environment
- Strong track record of leading or heavily contributing to successful deal execution
- ACA, ACCA or CFA qualified (or equivalent)
- Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships
- Demonstrable experience in managing and developing junior staff
- Ambition to progress into a Director-level role in the near term
