Warehouse Porter – Birmingham B7

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Porter to join our well-established client based in Birmingham B7 on a full-time permanent basis. This role would suit candidates with experience as a Warehouse Porter, Warehouse Operative, Warehouse Assistant, Goods In Operative, Goods Out Operative, Dispatch Operative, Despatch Operative, or Stores Operative.

Shifts

• Monday to Thursday – 15:00 – 00:00
• Every other Saturday – 06:00 – 12:00 (Paid for 8 hours)

Rates of Pay

• £12.71 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Warehouse Porter, your duties will include:

• Supporting the warehouse with general housekeeping duties
• Checking incoming and outgoing orders for accuracy
• Moving stock, loading, and unloading goods safely
• Keeping the warehouse clean, organised, and well maintained
• Carrying out basic packing and packaging duties
• Completing stock checks and basic warehouse documentation
• Maintaining a safe working environment in line with company procedures
• Working closely with colleagues across all warehouse departments

Essential Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Previous warehouse experience
• Confidence using handheld scanners
• A reliable, hardworking, and positive attitude
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• The ability to follow instructions and work safely
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience within Goods In, Goods Out, or Dispatch operations
• Experience working within a fast-paced warehouse or logistics environment

Training Provided

• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
