We're partnering with a well-established and highly respected manufacturing business to recruit a Supply Chain Manager who will take ownership of procurement, production planning, scheduling, inventory management and supplier performance across its UK operation.
This is a high-profile role offering the opportunity to shape supply chain strategy while ensuring operational excellence across the business. You'll play a pivotal role in balancing customer demand, inventory availability, production efficiency and supplier performance, directly influencing business growth and profitability.
The opportunity:
As Supply Chain Manager, you'll lead the end-to-end supply chain function, ensuring materials, resources and production plans are aligned to deliver exceptional customer service and operational performance. Working closely with manufacturing, commercial, finance and warehouse teams, you'll drive continuous improvement initiatives while developing strong supplier partnerships and leading a dedicated team.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and execute purchasing and supply chain strategies that support business objectives
- Lead supplier management activities, driving performance, cost optimisation and long-term partnerships
- Oversee production planning and scheduling to maximise operational efficiency and customer service levels
- Manage inventory and material availability, ensuring optimal stock levels and working capital performance
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align supply chain activities with customer demand and manufacturing requirements
- Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce costs and strengthen service delivery
- Analyse supply chain performance data and develop improvement initiatives
- Lead, coach, and develop a small supply chain team
