Accounts Payable Clerk - #2097251

We are currently partnering with a pharmaceutical company based in Birmingham, who are recruiting for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is a full-time position with a salary of £27,000 and the start date is subject to notice. This is a fully office based role.

The purpose of this position is to support the finance team by managing day-to-day administrative tasks for both the purchase ledger (supplier invoices) and sales ledger (customer invoicing).

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Posting, verifying, and coding a high volume of purchase invoices and credit notes from multiple suppliers
• Checking Purchase Orders and delivery notes against invoices to find and resolve discrepancies
• Obtaining approvals; passing invoices to department managers for sign-off
• Preparing weekly payments report for CFO to make payments/upload to bank
• Sending out remittance advices to suppliers and allocating payments in supplier accounts
• Supporting your colleague in checking sales orders and raising daily sales invoices

Experience required:

• None required

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Accounting qualification such as AAT desirable

Working hours:

• 40 hours per week
• Monday – Friday, 9:30am – 6:30pm
