Senior Bridge Engineer - #2092693

We are looking for an experienced Senior Bridge Engineer to join a leading Tier 1 consultancy in Birmingham. This is an opportunity to work across a range of major infrastructure frameworks, delivering high-quality bridge and structures projects.

Up to £48ph - £64ph (Inside IR35) / £360 - £480 per day
6 month initial contract, likely extension beyond into healthy pipeline
Start date ASAP

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the design and assessment of highway and rail bridge structures
• Produce and review technical calculations, drawings, and reports
• Work across multiple frameworks, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to standard
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Bridge Engineer within a consultancy environment
• Strong knowledge of UK design standards (e.g. DMRB, Eurocodes)
• Experience working on highways and/or rail structures
• Ability to manage workload across multiple projects
• Chartered or near Chartered status (ICE or IStructE preferred)
