Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Artificial Intelligence Engineer role based in Birmingham. The Artificial Intelligence Engineer will design, develop, and deploy AI models that support regulatory automation, evidence generation, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include building and training models using neural networks and NLP techniques, performing data preprocessing and feature engineering, and implementing pattern recognition solutions to detect trends, anomalies, and compliance risks. The role involves collaborating with software developers, product managers, and compliance specialists to integrate AI capabilities into production systems, as well as monitoring model performance and iterating based on feedback and new data. The engineer will document solutions, follow secure and ethical AI practices, and contribute to continuous improvement of CareComply’s AI-driven compliance platform.

Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, including data structures, algorithms, and version control.
- Experience with Neural Networks and Pattern Recognition for building, training, and evaluating machine learning models.
- Hands-on expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP), especially for text classification, information extraction, and document understanding.
- Proficiency with Python or similar languages, and familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Experience working with large datasets, data pipelines, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in compliance, regulatory technology, or highly regulated industries is an advantage.
