Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Bookkeeper role based in Birmingham. The Bookkeeper will manage day-to-day financial records, including recording transactions, posting journal entries, and maintaining accurate ledgers. Responsibilities include reconciling bank statements, assisting with the preparation of financial reports, and supporting the production of management accounts. The role will also involve working with accounting software to process invoices, track expenses, and monitor receivables and payables. The Bookkeeper will collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with internal controls and support smooth financial operations in a busy logistics environment.
Qualifications

• Strong bookkeeping skills, including accurate data entry, ledger maintenance, and journal entries (accounting).
• Ability to prepare, interpret, and support financial statements and basic finance reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting software and related digital tools used for invoicing, reconciliation, and record-keeping.
• Attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and the ability to organize and prioritize workload effectively.
• Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance; experience in logistics or transportation is an advantage.
• Relevant certification or qualification in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance (e.g., AAT or equivalent) preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in Birmingham, collaborate with a small team, and handle confidential financial information responsibly.
