Sowena has been retained to support a high-profile logistics company, with their search for a Qualified Management Accountant, based in Birmingham City Centre. This is a great opportunity for someone currently studying who wants hands-on exposure to management accounts and financial analysis within a dynamic and growing logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Post and review journals, including accruals and prepayments
- Analyse financial performance and provide actionable insights
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Partner with operational teams to improve cost control and efficiency
- Assist with year-end processes and audit requirements
- Identify opportunities for process improvement across finance operations
About You
- Fully Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
- Excellent Excel and financial modelling ability
- Confident communicating financial insights to non-finance stakeholders
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, or a fast-paced commercial environment is advantageous but not essential
