Role Description

This is a contract-based, on-site Senior Operations Consultant role. You'll lead workstreams to optimise manufacturing operations, production flow, throughput, OEE, equipment efficiency, maintenance, production planning and scheduling, lean transformation and continuous improvement, working shoulder-to-shoulder with the client's teams to deliver tangible performance gains over the course of the programme.

What you'll do

This is a hands-on, on-site engagement for a seasoned consultant who has spent a career on the factory floor as much as in the boardroom: someone who can read a production line, win the trust of operators and plant leadership alike, and turn diagnosis into measurable results.

What we're looking for

• 12+ years in industrial manufacturing operations, with a track record leading transformation in complex or regulated production environments
• Deep command of Lean, Six Sigma and operational excellence methodologies
• Hands-on expertise in equipment efficiency (OEE), maintenance strategy (TPM/reliability), and production planning and scheduling
• A natural coach who builds capability on the shop floor, not just in the meeting room
• Proven ability to influence at shop-floor and executive level
• Based in or able to work on-site in the Midlands for the duration of the engagement
• Right to work in the UK
