About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Aviation Ticketing Manager to lead and oversee all flight booking and ticketing operations within a growing travel agency/tour operator environment. This role is critical in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all airfares, reservations, and ticketing processes.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in airline ticketing, strong leadership capability, and a thorough understanding of global distribution systems and fare rules.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day aviation ticketing operations, ensuring all bookings and ticketing are processed accurately and efficiently
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of ticketing agents (onshore and/or offshore)
- Oversee fare construction, pricing, reissues, refunds, and complex itineraries
- Ensure compliance with airline rules, IATA regulations, and company policies
- Act as the escalation point for complex ticketing queries and service issues
- Monitor airline performance, fare competitiveness, and booking efficiency
- Maintain strong relationships with airlines, consolidators, and GDS providers
- Drive process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies within ticketing
- Manage ADM (Agency Debit Memo) and ACM (Agency Credit Memo) processes
- Support commercial teams with fare strategy, promotions, and margin optimisation
- Produce reporting on ticketing performance, errors, and revenue leakage
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in an aviation ticketing or air operations management role
- Strong background within a travel agency, tour operator, or airline environment
- Advanced knowledge of GDS systems (e.g. Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre)
- Deep understanding of fare construction, ticketing rules, reissues, and refunds
- Experience managing and developing teams
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage high volumes and work in a fast-paced environment
- Solid understanding of IATA regulations and industry standards
Desirable
- IATA certification or equivalent
- Experience managing offshore or remote teams
- Knowledge of NDC (New Distribution Capability) and modern airline retailing
- Experience working with low-cost carriers and dynamic packaging models
- Familiarity with mid/back-office systems and automation tools
