Are you an experienced Network Engineer with strong Fortinet and Cisco Meraki expertise?

Do you want to play a key role in a major cloud transformation programme whilst developing your AWS networking and automation skills?

We're partnering with a highly respected organisation that is making significant investments across its technology estate, including a large-scale migration of critical infrastructure and networking services into AWS Cloud. As part of this journey, we're looking to hire an AWS Cloud Network Engineer to help design, build, and support the next generation of cloud-connected networking solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a business where technology is viewed as a strategic enabler, with substantial investment planned across cloud, infrastructure, networking, automation, and security.

We're looking for an experienced Network Engineer with strong Fortinet and Cisco Meraki expertise who is excited by the evolution of cloud networking and automation. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in a significant AWS migration programme whilst helping shape the future of a modern enterprise network estate.

The Role

Working as part of a highly skilled Network Engineering team, you'll be responsible for supporting and developing both traditional and cloud-based network environments whilst helping shape the organisation's AWS networking capabilities.

You'll work across a variety of projects including cloud migration, network modernisation, automation initiatives, and the implementation of scalable, secure, and highly available networking solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Supporting the ongoing migration of networking services into AWS Cloud.
  • Managing cloud networking technologies including VPCs, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect, VPNs, Route Tables, and Load Balancers.
  • Supporting LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and wireless network environments.
  • Troubleshooting complex network and connectivity issues across cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Driving improvements in network performance, resilience, and security.
  • Contributing to network automation and Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives.
  • Working closely with Infrastructure, Cloud, Security, and Architecture teams on strategic projects.
  • Producing and maintaining technical documentation and network standards.

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with experienced Network Engineers who have strong enterprise networking expertise and are looking to further develop their cloud networking capabilities.

You'll ideally have experience across:

  • Cisco Meraki switching, wireless, and SD-WAN technologies.
  • Fortinet firewalls, security solutions, and network management platforms.
  • Enterprise LAN, WAN, and wireless networking environments.
  • Network security, segmentation, VPNs, and firewall policy management.
  • Routing and switching protocols including BGP, OSPF, and VLAN design.
  • Network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation.
  • Supporting highly available and business-critical network infrastructure.

Why Join?

  • Major investment in AWS Cloud and network transformation.
  • Opportunity to work with Fortinet, Cisco Meraki, and AWS technologies.
  • Exposure to automation and modern infrastructure practices.
  • Large-scale cloud migration and network modernisation projects.
  • Hybrid working with just one day per week in the Birmingham office.
  • Salary up to £60,000.
  • Annual bonus.
  • Excellent pension scheme.
  • Generous holiday allowance.
  • Long-term career development opportunities.
  • Collaborative and supportive engineering culture.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Network Engineer looking to combine strong Fortinet and Cisco networking expertise with cloud technologies and automation whilst working on large-scale transformation projects that will shape the future of a modern enterprise infrastructure environment.
