Trinity House Group are working on an exciting opportunity that has arisen for a high-calibre Commercial Finance Lead to join a growing and ambitious business in Central Birmingham.
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will take full ownership of the financial performance of a major division, acting as a true commercial partner to operational and executive stakeholders.
This is a highly visible role with a genuinely broad commercial remit, focused on driving profitability, supporting strategic decision-making, and influencing business performance. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping divisional strategy and delivering sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all commercial finance activity for a significant business division.
- Partner with divisional leadership teams to drive revenue growth, margin improvement, and operational efficiency.
- Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic and tactical decision-making.
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Deliver robust performance reporting, highlighting opportunities, risks, and key business drivers.
- Challenge and influence stakeholders to improve commercial outcomes and accountability.
- Evaluate new business opportunities, investments, pricing strategies, and commercial propositions.
- Support contract negotiations, tenders, and major commercial initiatives.
- Develop financial models to assess profitability and business performance.
- Drive continuous improvement across financial processes, reporting, and controls.
Lead, coach, and develop finance team members where applicable.
About You
We are seeking a commercially focused finance professional who combines strong technical capability with exceptional stakeholder management skills.
You will ideally possess:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in a Commercial Finance Business Partner, Commercial Finance Manager, Finance Lead, or Divisional Finance role.
- Strong track record of influencing senior stakeholders and driving commercial decision-making.
- Experience supporting large business units, divisions, or P&L responsibilities.
- Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Ability to translate complex financial information into clear commercial insights.
- Strong leadership presence with the confidence to challenge constructively.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on value creation.
