We are seeking an Operations Manager to lead, manage, and develop the efficient and effective delivery of defined services in accordance with legislation, regulatory standards, and contractual requirements. This role is crucial in ensuring the achievement of quality and performance objectives, managing multiple CQC registered managers across various services including supported living and residential care.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Ensure the highest quality and standards in person-centred support service provision, delivering the outcomes and aspirations identified by the people and families we support.
- Ensure legal compliance and excellence in care standards across all services as required by CQC.
- Lead the development of service purpose, direction, and culture in alignment with organisational values and strategic plans.
- Implement and oversee all relevant policies and procedures including quality assurance, regulatory frameworks, and health and safety.
- Respond to referrals, support assessment processes for new support packages, and pursue developmental opportunities for the people we support.
- Maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders and attend meetings with external agencies.
- Ensure tailored care plans emphasise individual skill development, choice, and independence.
- Manage financial aspects including budgeting, performance against budget, and maintaining occupancy levels.
- Provide direct line management to Registered Managers, including on-call support out of hours on a rota basis.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previously held a Registered Care Manager Award or equivalent.
- Level 5 or above in leadership and management.
- Minimum of 4 years management experience within the care sector at Registered Manager level or above.
- Strong working knowledge of relevant care standards and legislation, particularly in relation to autism and/or learning disabilities.
- Experience in managing human resources issues, including recruitment, retention, and performance.
- Successful experience of managing income and expenditure budgets and achieving financial performance objectives.
- Experience with successful CQC inspections and outcomes.
- Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle.
