This isn't a lateral move it's a step into something you can genuinely shape. A well-regarded, fast-growing UK law firm is expanding its Midlands presence and is looking for an experienced employment Partner to take the helm of its Warwickshire practice. You will inherit strong existing client relationships and a national team behind you, but with the freedom to set your own agenda locally. If you've outgrown your current firm and want to build rather than maintain, this is the role.

What You'll Be Doing

The successful Employment Partner will

  • Leading and developing the employment practice within the Warwickshire office
  • Advising on complex contentious and non-contentious matters, including high-value tribunal work
  • Providing strategic HR and senior-level advisory support to a diverse client portfolio
  • Driving business development and building long-term client and intermediary relationships across the Midlands
  • Mentoring junior lawyers and raising the team's technical and commercial standards
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the firm's wider practice areas

About You

  • A qualified solicitor with substantial employment law experience at a senior level
  • Predominantly respondent-side background: mixed experience also welcomed

  • Strong technical ability across both contentious and advisory work
  • Commercially minded, with appetite for business development and practice growth
  • Leadership presence: able to drive a regional team with confidence and credibility
  • Collaborative by nature, ambitious in outlook, and genuinely client-focused

What Sets This Apart

Three things distinguish this role from a typical partner-level move. First, genuine ownership: you're not stepping into a seat, you're building a practice with real autonomy over how it grows. Second, national infrastructure,: the backing of an established firm-wide team means you're not starting from scratch. Third, timing: the Midlands expansion is at an early stage, which means the upside is real and the opportunity to shape the firm's regional profile is significant.
