An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Town Planner to join a growing and dynamic planning consultancy based in Birmingham. This role offers the chance to work on a wide variety of projects across the residential, commercial, mixed-use and strategic land sectors, supporting experienced planners within a collaborative environment.
The Role
As a Graduate Town Planner, you will assist with the delivery of planning consultancy services across a broad portfolio of projects. Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals
- Supporting site appraisals, planning research and policy reviews
- Attending site visits, client meetings and public consultations
- Preparing planning statements and supporting reports
- Liaising with local authorities and key stakeholders
- Supporting senior team members on a range of development projects across the UK

About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- An RTPI-accredited degree or Masters in Town Planning or a related discipline
- Around 6–12 months’ experience within a planning consultancy, local authority or similar environment (including placements or internships considered)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational and analytical abilities
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- A full UK driving licence is advantageous but not essential
