Chartered Valuation Surveyor – Tech-Forward Practice

We are seeking a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) to join our Valuation team, specialising in loan security valuations for UK lenders. You will provide Red Book–compliant valuation advice across a spectrum of commercial, residential, healthcare and mixed-use assets, including office, retail, industrial, and specialist trading concerns. The successful candidate will support secured lending decisions for banks, building societies and alternative lenders.
About the Role
Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver loan security valuations for new lending, refinances, and periodic reviews — leveraging advanced data platforms and AI analysisManage instructions from receipt to issue, including inspections, analysis, valuation modelling, and digital reportingPrepare concise, lender-focused valuation reports with clear assumptions, sensitivities, and risk commentaryValue a range of asset types: offices, industrial/logistics, retail, residential, mixed-use, development, healthcare assets and trading valuationsEnsure compliance with RICS Red Book, lender instructions, and internal QA procedures with AI QA support includedMaintain robust audit trails optimised for lender panel reviewCommunicate professionally with lender clients, borrowers, solicitors, and managing agentsContribute to business development through your own networks, repeat instructions and cross-referrals, with support from senior colleagues and digital lead tracking
Qualifications and RequirementsMRICS (Chartered Surveyor) and Registered ValuerIdeally a minimum of two years’ post-qualification experience (PQE), although applications from candidates with less will be consideredProven experience in loan security valuationsStrong understanding of secured lending risk and credit-driven reportingExcellent report writing, organisation, and time management skillsEnthusiasm for new technologyKeen interest in business development and maintaining client relationshipsFull UK driving licence
