An exciting opportunity has arisen within a well-established and growing business for a Junior Credit Controller to join a friendly and supportive team based in Birmingham City Centre. This role will play an important part in supporting the day-to-day running of the credit control function, ensuring customer accounts are managed accurately and payments are collected efficiently.

This role is well suited to an organised and motivated individual who is looking to further develop their finance and credit control skills within a professional environment. Working closely with the wider finance team, you will assist with a variety of credit control and administrative tasks, helping to maintain healthy cash flow across the business. Responsibilities will include chasing outstanding payments, maintaining customer accounts, allocating cash receipts, resolving invoice queries, and supporting with account reconciliations and reporting duties. The position offers excellent exposure to a broad range of finance processes and provides a strong opportunity for long-term development and progression.

Skills Required:

  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage workload effectively and the ability to complete work tasks to a high level of detail.
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbally, with the ability to build and maintain long last supplier relationships.
  • Proficient IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Excel and finance systems.
  • A positive and proactive approach with a willingness to learn.
