Orthopaedic Consultant – Specialist Outpatient Clinics

Contract Type: Flexible Sessions

Rate: £600 per 4-hour session (Ltd Company)

About the Role

We are working with private healthcare provider to recruit experienced Orthopaedic Consultants to support specialist outpatient clinics across multiple sites in Birmingham.

We are particularly interested in consultants with specialist interests in:

• Spinal Orthopaedics
• Hip Clinics
• Upper Limb Orthopaedics

This is a flexible opportunity offering sessions to suit your availability, supporting increasing patient demand across elective orthopaedic pathways.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist orthopaedic outpatient consultations
• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions
• Provide treatment recommendations, investigations, and onward referral plans where appropriate
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and diagnostic services
• Support efficient patient pathways and clinic delivery across community clinic sites

What We’re Looking For

• GMC registered Orthopaedic Consultant with Licence to Practise
• Specialist experience within:
• Spinal Orthopaedics
• Hip Pathways
• Upper Limb Orthopaedics
• Experience independently running outpatient clinics
• Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to work flexibly across multiple Birmingham clinic locations
