ADHD Specialist Nurse

Location: Remote / Community-Based Service

Contract Type: Full-Time

Salary: £45,000 – £55,000

About the Role


Our client is recruiting an experienced ADHD Specialist Nurse to join its growing multidisciplinary ADHD service supporting adults with neurodevelopmental disorders.


This role focuses on delivering high-quality ADHD assessments, medication reviews, and ongoing patient support within a predominantly virtual service model using video and telephone consultations.


You will work closely with consultants and the wider MDT while also managing your own caseload autonomously within a supportive specialist environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct ADHD assessments for adults, including co-morbidity and risk assessments
  • Deliver post-diagnostic support, psychoeducation, and care planning
  • Carry out ADHD medication reviews and monitor treatment response
  • Complete physical observations and ongoing patient monitoring
  • Coordinate care with MDT colleagues, GPs, carers, and external services
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
  • Participate in MDT meetings, supervision, audits, and service development activities
  • Support safeguarding processes and risk management procedures


What We’re Looking For


Essential

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse or relevant registered practitioner (NMC/HCPC)
  • Experience working within ADHD or neurodevelopmental services
  • Strong assessment and risk management skills
  • Experience managing complex clinical caseloads
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams


Desirable

  • Experience delivering virtual consultations
  • Experience within community mental health services
  • Experience contributing to audits, service development, or training initiatives
