Salary - £33,000 plus local bonus scheme (rising to £35,000 after 6 months ,subject to training criteria being met). Overtime when required

Hours - Average of 42 per week on a rolling rota and working 3 in 8 weekends

Monday to Friday 8hrs per day and weekends 9 hrs per day (start/finish times may vary to cover opening hours of the sites).



Location - Tyseley, Birmingham B11 2BA

You could be at any of our 5 Household Waste Recycling sites in Birmingham as required

What will you be doing?

  • Provide an effective recycling service to the residents with their household waste and recycling.
  • Look after a small team of recycling operatives on site ensuring best practice, recording absences, coaching and mentoring
  • Oversee site compliance
  • Oversee transport services provided to the site
  • Record and improve recycling across all waste streams
  • Report & record audit issues



This role involves manual handling and working outdoors in all weather conditions



What are we looking for?


  • Previous experience within a similar operational manual handling role
  • Full driving licence - to be able to get to the other sites in Birmingham.
  • Managerial / Team Leader experience
  • Good IT skills
