About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to progress your career within a vibrant and progressive consultancy, in a friendly team environment where you will be given the encouragement and tools to grow and progress. We are looking for a Senior Planner with private or public sector experience in planning and development, to work on a range of some of the highest-profile planning projects across the Midlands, focused on residential, industrial and logistics sectors, and city centre regeneration and urban living, amongst others.

In this role you will:

  • Lead on a range of local projects and proactively support with the delivery on more major projects.
  • Have defined responsibility and client contact, from the start.
  • Provide commercial advice to clients.
  • Have the opportunity to work on projects across the West and East Midlands.
  • Develop your technical skills and grow your presence in our local markets.
  • Be part of a dynamic, supportive and well established Planning team.

About You

We are seeking a highly motivated, ambitious and dedicated professional with the ability to think strategically, independently and to work as part of our team to further develop our business. The ideal Senior Planner will have strong communication skills and be accustomed to engaging with clients, consultants and other stakeholders. You will be a confident team player, one who enjoys working in a team and takes pride in developing others. Candidates should be MRTPI qualified.

“Working at Turley as a Senior Planner allows me to lead on diverse, high-profile projects while collaborating with supportive colleagues across disciplines. I particularly value the flexibility, which helps me balance work and family life as a mum of two young boys, and I also enjoy the friendly office culture and opportunities to socialise with the team.”

Charlotte Palmer – Senior Planner
