It will be a busy operation but we go further to ensure we maintain a high standard of safety and service as we put our customers at the centre of our operations.
This is a great opportunity to join our growing ground handling business. Timescales can often result in a tight turnaround therefore you will need to be a good timekeeper, flexible when overtime is required if a flight schedule changes last minute and reliable as you are working as part of a dedicated team, so we need to be confident that you are committed.

Your tasks
Job Purpose
You will be working in the Ramp Operations Team, ensuring consistent delivery of high-performance standards in the provision of the smooth, timely and accurate processing of passenger baggage and aircraft turnaround
You should be able to demonstrate a hardworking, adaptable attitude and be able to thrive on variety in the workplace. A demonstrable background in the aviation industry, Customer Service and Airside exposure would be an asset.

Your tasks

Main Responsibilities & Objectives
- Complete processes and activities, in accordance with both CAA and DfT regulations and Airline(s), Airport(s) and company procedures.
- Perform accurate and efficient sortation of outbound passenger baggage.
- Take leadership in the aircraft turnaround and also will have active involvement in Aircraft Turnaround processes (including but not limited to aircraft arrival, baggage offload, baggage onload, aircraft departure). .
- Safe and efficient operation of Ground Service Equipment.
- Regular preventative maintenance within the operational environment (including but not limited to removal of FOD, Ground Service Equipment checks/cleaning).
- Provide assistance and input to any baggage loading/unloading problems with accuracy and efficiency ensuring Team Leaders are kept informed.
- Work cohesively as part of the team to maximise co-operation leading to the efficiency and effectiveness of the operation.
- Liaise and work together with other departments to ensure our customers receive a high standard of service.
- Carry out any other reasonable task as requested by Line Management or Team Leader.
- Ensure all Airline Service Level Agreements are met or exceeded
- Ensure that all Key Performance Indicators are met or exceeded
- All performance variances must be actioned promptly and honestly to ensure the integrity of the Skytanking Group.
- Compliance of all Regulatory Bodies, HSE, Airline(s) Airports(s) and company procedures.
- Ability to perform all tasks with accuracy, efficiency and in a safe manner within defined time constraints.
Your profile
Key Attributes
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to read, write and understand written instruction and information
- Proactive approach to all work requirements and a team centred ethos
- A full driving licence is essential
- Trained to operate GSE
- Ideally skilled to carry out Push Backs and Headset Communications
- Hard working, team player, flexible, able to work on a 24hr roster pattern
- Ramp experience 12 months +
- without exception, provide a 5-year history (with no gaps) including work and none work activities.
- Have been a UK resident for the last 5 years
- Would you be able to acquire a clear DBS certificate?
