Are you an experienced and passionate leader in children's residential care? Do you have the drive to make a positive difference in the lives of young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD)? If so, we want to hear from you.

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Registered Manager to lead and develop a children's residential home in the Birmingham area. You will play a vital role in ensuring the home delivers outstanding care, safeguarding, and outcomes for young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strong, effective leadership to the staff team, ensuring a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and all relevant legislation.
  • Promote a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Lead and manage the Ofsted inspection process, aiming for "Good" or "Outstanding" outcomes.
  • Support staff development through regular supervision, training, and performance management.
  • Work closely with external agencies, families, and stakeholders to support the best possible outcomes for the young people.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within a children's residential setting.
  • Proven track record of managing or supporting "Good" or "Outstanding" Ofsted-rated homes.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • In-depth knowledge of the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and therapeutic approaches to care.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
