Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Bank Project Worker at our Intensive Housing Management Service, Sandwood House, Birmingham.

The role of Bank Project Worker will include:



  • Providing house related support to ensure relevant support is provided to encourage our customers to maximise their own potential and level of independence

  • Managing health and safety responsibilities within a social housing environment

  • Assessing customers’ needs, writing, and updating support plans

  • Working with statutory and non-statutory agencies on behalf of the customers, actively encouraging choice and involvement, or acting as an advocate when required

  • Developing professional relationships with customers, using appropriate and clear communication to ensure their personal choice, privacy and dignity is maintained


Skills and experiences:



  • A sound knowledge of housing management including voids and arrears management and an understanding of occupancy agreements

  • Experience of motivating and encouraging individuals to reach their goals

  • Knowledge of health and safety requirements

  • The ability to work on your own initiative as you will be required to source innovative solutions to problems that allow customers independence to be enhanced

  • Some experience of working with customers with mental health and/or complex needs

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel or similar

  • NVQ3 in Health & Social Care, or willing to work towards
