Purpose of the Role
The Assistant Project Manager will work alongside the Senior Project Manager, Project Director, and delivery teams to ensure the successful day-to-day management and delivery of projects within the Alliance. This role includes the coordination and facilitation of all processes.

Person Specification
- Knowledge of safety, quality and environmental procedures.
- Knowledge of commercial and financial procedures.
- Recognised Project Management qualification.
- Membership (or working towards membership) of the Association for Project Management or other professional body.
- Alliance Management Team / Alliance Project Teams/ Local Authorities / Stakeholders
- Deliver individual projects or parts of projects in a safe & environmentally responsible manner to time, cost and quality, in accordance with the Alliance Principles – End Result – Projects delivered to time, cost and quality.
- Perform the above tasks in accordance with the Alliance Charter – End Result – collaborative behaviours demonstrated across stakeholders.
- Maintain a strong working relationship with the client and key stakeholders on the project, ensuring they are suitably consulted and informed throughout the project lifecycle– End Result – Stakeholders informed as to project status and needs managed.
- Support the change and risks within the project life cycle for allocated schemes, in accordance with the processes set in place by the Alliance, and its individual participants – End Result – Pro-active management of risk and change leading to ‘no surprises’ and delivery within budget.
- Work with team in particular new starters to ensure they are aware of the project requirements and relevant MMA process and procedures. End Result – consistency of approach across the team.
- Engage with project Commercial Team to develop awareness of commercial requirements and ensure that project commercial performance is well managed and accurate reporting is undertaken. End Result – knowledge development and delivery of project on budget.
- As you will expect the organisation may change from time to time and you will be expected to meet the operational requirements. Any other reasonable duties as required from time to time.
