Our Third Party Administration (TPA) department is a dynamic team with a diverse client portfolio. They play a key role in providing market-leading services on Defined Benefits (DB), Defined Contribution (DC), and CARE pension arrangements
We have an exciting opportunity to join this department as a Team Leader within our Client Services team in Birmingham
What will your role look like?
You will take a hands-on approach to daily work streams, oversee team operations, and have people management responsibilities. You will also contribute to winning new work and implementing new client schemes
Key responsibilities include:
Managing deliverables, prioritising work, and ensuring team capacity
Acting as the main contact for team members regarding clients
Representing the team at Trustee meetings on operational matters
Maintaining chargeability targets, identifying work outside the fee basis, and preparing invoices
Reporting progress and risks to the Administration Manager
Improving workflows and practices
Leading on complex cases
Maintaining knowledge of systems, products, and clients
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Experience in pension administration, especially on DB, DC, and CARE schemes
Strong commercial awareness of the UK pensions market, legislation, technical developments, and industry best practices
Experience with Pensions Administration systems like UPM or similar
Experience managing teams and workflows, ensuring service quality
Operational support experience in client relationships
Exceptional communication skills, clear and concise
Leadership experience with a collaborative approach
Ideally, candidates will hold or be working towards a professional qualification such as Associate Membership of the Pension Management Institute. We also welcome applicants with relevant industry experience and knowledge of the UK pensions market
