Smartax Consultancy Limited is a family-run Accountancy business seeking a female applicant who is currently studying or has recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. A serious, loyal candidate with clear goals for the next 2 to 5 years will be provided with suitable training and sponsorship for skilled worker visas if needed. Please note that remote working and the use of personal mobile devices during working hours are not permitted for this role. The official office hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm
Main roles and responsibilities include:
Handling administrative duties such as correspondence, filing, printing, and scanning
Scheduling client appointments and managing departmental deadlines
Maintaining accurate client records and creating new files
Assisting with payroll data management to process month-end payroll for various clients
Supporting HR record management for clients using Bright HR
Updating client records on Xero and IRIS accounting software
Performing daily and monthly bank reconciliations on Xero
Entering journals into the system after training
Supporting the preparation of management accounts and month-end duties post-training
Analyzing bank statements to prepare trial balances using Pivot tables, after training
Maintaining records and updating client profiles with NEST Pension
Responding to client and employee queries via email regarding payroll, accounts, and HR
