Role Purpose and Key Responsibilities
This role is key to ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of data within RICS. They will need to possess strong analytical skills to identify and resolve data discrepancies, proficiency in SQL and data management tools, and a keen eye for detail.
Their expertise in data governance and quality frameworks will help maintain high standards of data consistency, enabling informed decision-making and operational efficiency. With a proactive approach to problem-solving and a collaborative mindset, they play a crucial role in safeguarding the RICS's data assets.
- Design, implement, test, deploy and support BI solutions, including ETL/ELT and Delta processing models
- Develop and sustain data pipelines, ensuring quality, integrity, security, and cost-effectiveness
- Continuously explore new technologies to improve solutions and maintain compliance with Information Governance regulations
- Champion Power BI, collaborating with stakeholders to enhance data quality, streamline processes, and manage dashboards effectively
- Work cooperatively with teams to document systems, ensure governance, and maintain a culture of development and improvement
About You
- Familiar with SQL Server, ETL tools, and Azure cloud services, including Datalake, Azure Synapse, and Fabric pipelines
- Experience in Power BI, DAX, and creating data visualisations
- Knowledge of Data Warehousing, Azure Data Factory/Fabric Pipelines, and ETL/ELT best practices
- Ability to gather business requirements and support data solution development, testing and delivery
- Effective communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and manager tasks under pressure
