Position: Care Assistant
Job Type: Part-time, Temp to perm (Contract length: 12 months)
Location: Birmingham, UK
About the Role Gecko Care is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in providing compassionate care for individuals in a home care setting. The role involves supporting service users with daily activities and ensuring their well-being in their home. You would need to travel door to door and provide the required services
Responsibilities Communicate effectively with service users, families, and colleagues
Assist in implementing care plans tailored to individual needs
Provide support with personal care tasks
Maintain accurate records using IT systems
Offer emotional support and companionship to residents
Requirements Proficient in English, both spoken and written
Experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous
Ability to work well in a team and independently
Compassionate nature and empathy towards others
Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication
Education:
GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
Home care: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
Driving Licence (preferred)
