Job Type: PermanentSTS Aviation Services is hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Training Manager to develop, manage, and deliver training programs in compliance with EASA, UK CAA, and MAA Part 145 regulatory requirements. This role supports training across all STS Aviation Services UK locations including BHX, MAN, STN, and NQY, with a strong focus on the E7 Wedgetail Project.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the Part 145 Maintenance Training Programme to ensure regulatory compliance
- Plan and coordinate training and development activities for the E7 Wedgetail Project team in Birmingham
- Collaborate with Boeing representatives to ensure strategic training delivery across the program
- Design and deliver training content, continually enhancing methods and materials
- Ensure training aligns with the MOE and relevant regulatory authority requirements
- Establish and track training KPIs; report performance to the senior leadership team
- Support onboarding and induction processes for new hires and arrange required training
- Assess future training needs based on operational planning and organisational changes
- Develop and maintain training manuals, multimedia content, and educational tools
- Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) and maintain complete training records
- Evaluate training compliance with STS, Boeing, and UK MoD standards
- Coordinate with external training providers for professional and technical courses
- Strong knowledge of EASA Part 145 and Part 147 regulations, including MOE compliance
- Proven ability to design and deliver aviation, engineering, and production training
- Prior experience in a similar role within a military or aerospace manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with aviation and manufacturing processes
- Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Proactive and adaptable approach in a fast-paced work environment
- Dedication to continuous learning and training program development
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Train-the-Trainer certification
- Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) certification
- Quality Management Systems (QMS) and audit training
- Must have or be able to obtain UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) SC security clearance
- Work with the UK's leading independent aircraft maintenance provider
- Play a key role in a high-profile defense program
