Procurement Manager - Professional Services

A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement Manager to join a growing team supporting the healthcare sector. This role is based in Birmingham and offers a hybrid working model, with the opportunity to work across a broad range of categories within the Facilities Management and Professional Services space.
You will be working at the heart of a public sector-focused organisation, playing a critical role in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and delivering procurement solutions that improve outcomes for NHS and other public service providers.
This role is ideal for someone with strong public sector procurement experience who is fully conversant with PCR 2015 and the new Procurement Act 2023.
Responsibilities:
- Lead full end-to-end procurement projects in line with public sector regulations.
- Deliver sourcing strategies across categories including Legal, Consultancy and FM.
- Manage stakeholder engagement and ensure procurement activities align with organisational objectives.
- Develop category strategies informed by market analysis and performance benchmarking.
- Draft, negotiate and manage complex contracts with a focus on compliance and value for money.
- Build and maintain high-level supplier relationships, driving innovation and commercial performance.
- Mentor and support junior team members, fostering professional growth and continuous improvement.
About You:
- Proven experience delivering complex procurement exercises in the public sector.
- In-depth knowledge of PCR 2015 and awareness of the Procurement Act 2023.
- Strong background in strategic sourcing and category management.
- Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Skilled in contract drafting and supplier relationship management.
- Experience within Facilities Management or Professional Services categories is desirable.
- MCIPS or working towards this is advantageous.
