Secondary HLTA - Flexible Supply Work Location: Secondary Schools in Birmingham Pay: £100 - £130 per day (based on experience) Start Date: September start Contract Type: Day-to-day and long-term supplyAre you a confident and capable HLTA looking to make an impact in secondary schools across Birmingham? The Role As a Secondary HLTA, you'll play a vital role in supporting students and stepping up to lead lessons when needed. You'll work closely with teaching staff and senior leaders to ensure pupils remain engaged, supported, and on track.Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading full-class lessons during teacher absence using pre-prepared resources
• Supporting small group or 1:1 interventions for literacy, numeracy, EAL or SEND
• Assisting with behaviour management and safeguarding within the classroom
• Contributing to lesson planning and assessment where appropriate
• Collaborating with subject departments to ensure continuity of learning

What We're Looking For

• A recognised HLTA qualification (Level 4+) or equivalent
• Minimum of 6 months' experience in UK secondary schools
• Confidence in classroom leadership and behaviour management
• A good understanding of the KS3-KS4 curriculum
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
• Flexible, proactive and professional attitude
