EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Whether you’re looking for a new career path, are a recent graduate or have worked in a similar role before – if you're enthusiastic, love working in a large team, enjoy solving problems, and are looking for a more hands on role where you’ll be out and about, this role in our Operational team could be perfect for you. Let us tell you more…
We’re on a mission to reducing leakage and water consumption through smart meter deployment – and we’ve got some big ambitions that we need some help with. We’re recruiting a team of Smart Metering Field Technicians across our region.
In this hand-on role you’ll ensure the highest standards in smart metering installations, repairs, and maintenance are met. You'll work closely with contractors and internal teams to drive performance, ensure health and safety compliance, and improve right-first-time outcomes.
This field-based role involves being out and about around our Seven Trent Sites and customer homes, auditing contractor work, resolving connectivity issues, supporting customer satisfaction. Strong communication, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are key.
While the team is based in Coventry, we’re open to recruiting across the whole Severn Trent region. Regular travel to different locations will be required across our region.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
We’re seeking a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional service. The ideal candidate will be confident in their communication, capable of building strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and partners alike. You’ll bring a proactive approach to problem-solving, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to health and safety best practices.
You should be comfortable working independently as well as part of a wider team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in your day-to-day responsibilities. A strong understanding of technical operations, particularly in metering or similar fields, is desirable, along with the ability to navigate regulatory standards confidently.
We're looking for someone with the right attitude and behaviours who wants to make a positive difference to our colleagues every day. Whether you have experience in an operational role or not, we'd love to hear from you.
A full UK driving licence is required.
