We’re seeking a committed and compassionate General Practitioner to join a multidisciplinary clinical team at a Category B prison in Birmingham. This role offers clinical variety, professional autonomy, and the opportunity to work with some of the most vulnerable and underserved patients in the healthcare system.
Role Highlights
Deliver high-quality primary care services to adult male residents
Diagnose and manage both routine and complex conditions in a secure setting
Lead and support chronic disease management and health screening programmes
Work collaboratively with nursing, mental health, substance misuse, and safeguarding teams
Participate in MDT meetings and clinical governance processes
Contribute to service development and health promotion initiatives
Requirements: Full GMC registration and licence to practise
MRCGP (or equivalent)
Experience in primary care, urgent care, or prison healthcare (desirable)
