Mechanical Site Manager – Birmingham (School Project)

We are working on behalf of a respected client who is seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager for a school project based in Birmingham.

The RoleYou will be responsible for overseeing all mechanical aspects of the project, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards. This is a site-based role requiring a strong presence and effective day-to-day coordination of mechanical works.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all on-site mechanical activities
• Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers
• Ensure health & safety compliance
• Attend and contribute to project meetings
• Report progress to the project management team

Key Requirements

• Proven experience managing construction sites
• Strong mechanical background (ideally HVAC, plumbing, or building services)
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Previous experience working on education sector projects (desirable)

Qualifications & Certificates Required

• Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certificate
• Valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card
• Recognised mechanical/building services qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or higher, HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering)
• First Aid at Work certificate (preferred)
