A leading energy company is seeking an experienced and driven Business Project Manager to join its Energy Project Management Team. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of energy trading and technology by aligning IT initiatives with commercial strategy and ensuring the successful delivery of high-impact programs and projects.
Main Responsibilities of a Business Project Manager:
- Support the development of the Technology Roadmap in line with the CT30 Strategy.
- Align IT initiatives with UK commercial trading strategies and contribute to technology planning.
- Coordinate with key commercial stakeholders to align technology solutions with broader business strategies.
- Collaborate with CTG leads to set priorities, ensure effective resource allocation, and support financial planning aligned with the Medium-Term Plan (MTP).
- Manage strategic business change projects, including scope, prioritization, and stakeholder coordination.
- Define and implement appropriate delivery methodologies and governance frameworks for projects.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale IT programs and projects within the energy sector.
- Ensure IT project delivery meets budget, timeline, and quality expectations while maintaining business alignment and support.
- Lead cross-functional teams across business analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and handover to support.
- Work with CTG and IT project teams to improve delivery performance and capability.
Key skills Business Project Manager:
- Proven experience delivering large-scale IT programs, Within the energy sector
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Confident in workshop facilitation, presentations, and influencing decision-makers
- Ability to bridge technical and non-technical teams effectively
- Strong commercial and financial awareness
- Skilled in problem-solving and managing complex business change initiatives
- Experience working with outsourced IT partners and cross-functional delivery teams
