Overhead Line Design Engineer - #1753982

Currently we’re looking for a Senior OHL Design Engineer to support on NG schemes on a 12 month consulting basis. This can be flexible working arrangement (part-time hours considered), remote working and is outside IR35.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Undertake the design and development of OHL projects, ensuring compliance with technical and safety standards, and client requirements.


• Act as CDAE on behalf of the schemes


• Develop technical solutions and provide guidance on all aspects of OHL design, including conductor sizing, insulation selection, lightning protection, structure and foundation design and analysis.


• Review and approve technical documents, such as specifications, drawings, and calculations ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.


• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.


• Provide technical support and guidance to the wider team, including tendering, mentoring, and training junior engineers
