Laboratory Technician - #1751545

PE Global is recruiting a laboratory technician for our food manufacturing client based in Bournville, Birmingham. The role is an initial 9-month contract and the rate is £14.74 per hour.

Responsibilities:

• The role is for a skilled technician to operate Pilot Plant equipment to make samples based on detailed instructions from the Cocoa ingredients Team Scientists.


• Tasks will include roasting cocoa beans and making cocoa liquor, and making chocolate using that liquor as well as completing some administrative tasks such as using relevant systems for generating, collecting and collating the key project data (processing data, analytical data, consumer science data).

Requirements:

• Any background of using manufacturing equipment.


• Ideally experience of working in a catering or food manufacturing environment but it's not a must.


• Practical mindset with the ability to quickly learn how to use new equipment.


• Keen attention to detail and self motivated.
