As a Tax Technology Business Analyst (Manager) in our Birmingham or London office, bringing your experience within Tax Technology you will play a pivotal role in transforming our tax function by bridging our tax technologists with the wider tax service line. Your focus areas will be to support with the identification and documentation of intelligent automation requirements, support with the delivery of projects, completion of business cases, assessment of third-party technology vendor partnerships as well as ensuring our operations and governance processes are followed.

As a Tax Technology Business Analyst (Manager) in our Birmingham or London office, bringing your experience within Tax Technology you will play a pivotal role in transforming our tax function by bridging our tax technologists with the wider tax service line. Your focus areas will be to support with the identification and documentation of intelligent automation requirements, support with the delivery of projects, completion of business cases, assessment of third-party technology vendor partnerships as well as ensuring our operations and governance processes are followed.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Working with the Tax Technology team and Tax service line SMEs to identify opportunities for business process automation through the application of enhanced technology.
- Working with the Tax Technology leadership team and the Tax service line to assess the business cases of various technology solutions.
- Assisting the Tax Technology team with the adoption of AI and automation solutions introduced by project demands, and the introduction of business process and other organisational changes arising from the enhanced automation to realise business benefits.
- Reporting to the Tax Technology leadership group, you will be responsible for defining the target business process and user stories to deliver the increased level of automation and AI adoption.
- Supporting and facilitating clear and timely communication and coordination between the business and the wider Tax Technology team during the delivery cycle.
- Participating in functional and user testing, ensuring that business requirements are captured in test scenarios and to ensure the solution ultimately meets the business’s needs.

- Experience in Tax Technology-enabled business change projects or workstreams.
- Experience and knowledge of tax compliance processes.
- Experience using data analytics tools to gather, review, and analyse business requirements, including KPIs, and other key metrics.
- Customer journey mapping experience and translation into wireframes and user stories, within an agile development environment.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral, and ability to engage with and influence stakeholders across multiple business disciplines.
- A hands-on approach, and ability/appetite to “roll sleeves up” and deliver workstream outputs. Ideally has experience of working with UX design teams/agencies.
- PRINCE 2 qualification or equivalent.
- Maintain documentation regarding various projects, processes, and operations.
- Experience of project planning and governance procedures.
- High level of attention to detail and adherence to processes.
- Commercially minded.
- Resourcefulness and creative problem-solving skills.
