The Role - Assistant Accountant

You'll be instrumental in supporting the commercial finance function, with responsibilities including:

• Produce insightful financial and performance reports to support the success of ongoing projects.
• Analyse contract profitability, track income and expenditure, highlight variances, and support financial forecasting.
• Provide accurate data and analysis to support senior management, auditors, and external parties.
• Prepare scheduled reports and respond to ad hoc requests for commercial and financial information.
• Manage the end-to-end commercial contract process, including onboarding new contracts and compliance. Work closely with internal stakeholders.
• Maintain the integrity of financial data, ensuring information is recorded accurately in the finance system.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely and accurate input.
• Work closely with the billing team to ensure invoices are raised accurately and on schedule.
• Monitor payment cycles and support the credit control process to ensure income is collected promptly.

What We're Looking For

• Actively working towards (ACCA / CIMA)
• Excellent Excel skills
• Previous experience in a finance position
• Detail-oriented, and able to manage your workload independently
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
