Are you currently working in elections and looking for a new challenge?
With a register of over 750,000 electors, Birmingham elections office is offering a dynamic and forward-thinking individual the chance to take the next step in their career. In the ever-changing world of elections, you will have the opportunity to join a stable and well-established team and be at the forefront of innovation, dealing directly with those effecting change.
You should have good working knowledge of electoral legislation and how it affects electoral registration procedures and the running of elections. You will hold or be prepared to work towards the AEA Certificate.
Experience of leading a team, including the scheduling and allocation of work, and managing performance is essential. You should be able to work under pressure for prolonged periods and work to strict deadlines.
There will be a degree of flexibility around working from home; however, the job is predominately office based. During the elections and canvass periods you will be required to work under pressure and balance conflicting priorities, and there may be a requirement to work unsociable hours. There could also be restrictions on taking leave during this time.
