Operational Security Senior Technician - #1736320

The Security of our sites and assets is critical to our company and also to the national infrastructure of the country, we have invested significantly in the security of critical sites across the company which we are required by law to maintain and control. Our aim is to ensure wholesome water is available for customers as well as protecting staff and assets.

Which is why we are excited to announce 2 new opportunities to join our team as Senior Technicians within Operational Security. In this role you will support our Team Leaders in managing the day-to-day operation of Operational Security across critical sites in both Severn Trent and Hafren Dyfrdwy. These roles will be in place to support the Team Leaders responsible our ARC and Access Control teams based at Frankley (Birmingham)

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

In the role of Senior Technician - Operational Security you will be pivotal in assisting the team to meet challenging targets both internally and externally with respect to all matters of Operational Security.

You will be required to ensure that both the operation and maintenance of security assets deliver full compliance with all regulatory and company requirements. Working across a wide and varied group of internal and external stakeholders you will be managing security asset health, following fault reporting procedures and managing resolution through to completion.

This is a key role in defining and delivering the protective security strategy, ensuring that as a team we deliver in a way that manages all current and emerging security risks.

What You’ll Bring To The Role

In order to be successful in this role it is expected that you will have experience in a supervisory or management role with exposure to managing a varied network of internal and external stakeholders, contractors and suppliers.

You will need strong IT skills in this role alongside the ability and passion to develop a broad understanding of security and associated systems. Any prior exposure to security operations and systems would be highly beneficial.

In this role you will need to bring all of your communication skills to support working across a diverse team, responding to queries, cascading solutions and communicating information to variety of levels and groups.

Additional Information

• Security vetting will be required
• May be required to participate in standby rota
• EUSR Water Hygiene Blue Card required
• Full valid UK driving license (preferred)
