Our Finance team, with a turnover of over £2 billion and nearly 17,000 staff across 22 UK offices, covers a wide range of responsibilities—from supporting business strategy to managing payroll, expenses, accounts payable, and billing.
What will you be doing?
- Gain a thorough understanding of the supported business area.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with stakeholders.
- Track and report performance KPIs, especially those impacting P&L.
- Prepare commentaries, MI packs, and briefing papers aligned with business priorities.
- Drive standardization and efficiency in MI production, challenging exceptions.
- Manage performance reviews, articulating outcomes and actions.
- Support Deal Board and pre-engagement forums with budgeting and forecasting.
- Review in-flight commercial activities to understand margins and learnings.
- Lead finance-related business planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Deploy processes efficiently, coordinating with stakeholders.
- Oversee P&L stewardship, ensuring accurate reflection of financial position.
- Manage cost control processes and spend management.
- Ensure the team understands and challenges all cost items, escalating issues as needed.
- Adhere to finance policies, challenge deviations, and seek improvements.
- Own working capital KPIs, ensuring actions on WIP and debt are taken.
- Manage team workload, training needs, and performance issues.
- Support recruitment and team development.
- Participate in leadership forums and advocate for change initiatives like automation and standardization.
What will you need?
- A qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or significant relevant experience.
- Experience in a similar role.
- Resilience and ability to manage demanding stakeholders.
- Ability to operate strategically and at a detailed level.
