We are now looking for a Deputy Superstore Manager to support the Chelmsley Wood Superstore Manager in leading a team of volunteers, achieving set targets and maintaining standards. Youll work 15 hours per week, including some weekend working.
About The Role
Acorns Children's Hospice are a children's charity, offering specialist palliative nursing care and support for local children and their families. Every year, we support over 750 children and nearly 1,000 families, including those who are bereaved. We have a network of charity shops across the West Midlands and Gloucestershire, which help to provide the funding that we need to provide this care.
As Deputy Community Superstore Manager, You Will
You need to be eligible to work in the UK to be considered for this role. We are committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and therefore any successful candidate will be subject to a basic DBS check for children and will be asked to provide two satisfactory references.

As Deputy Community Superstore Manager, You Will
- Support the Manager to create an exciting shop floor experience that makes Acorns stand out from our competitors
- Make decisions about the quality of stock, levels of pricing and style of merchandising
- Lead a team of volunteers
- Achieve sales targets by encouraging donations, purchases and gift aid
- Retail experience and experience of working towards targets
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- IT skills
- Happy to work weekends
- Enjoy a role that involves significant levels of manual handling
- Ability to travel independently to cover shops in the area if needed
- £10,062 per annum actual (£25,155 for full time)
