It Support Technician - #1726089

The IT systems within our client’s architects firm are critical to their ongoing operations, including operational management, communications, data storage (including security/access), and design functions.

The IT Apprentice’s role is to coordinate this work and to recognise and escalate support to the IT Manager as and when necessary.

KEY DUTIES –

• Provide technical support to end-users, both in person and remotely
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and software
• Implement security of the network, data and its storage and communication systems
• Assist with network administration tasks, including setting up user accounts and permissions
• Work together with other managers and directors in relation to IT matters
• Help manage the process for achieving agreed standards for Cyber Security and protocol
• Discuss, agree and maintain IT elements of the Business Continuity Plan
• Assist in ensuring that the company operates within the law in relation to copyright licencing and assists with Data management (GDPR)
• Document technical procedures and create user guides.
• Collaborate with the IT Manager to implement new technologies and upgrades.

ELIGIBILITY

• Living in the West Midlands area i.e. Birmingham, Solihull etc…
• Employed, self-employed, career changers, returners to work or unemployed within the last 12 months.
• Have the right to live and work in the UK.
• Have access to a reliable internet connection with a PC/ Laptop.
