Quality Inspector - Precision EngineeringBirmingham£14.50-£15.50 per hourMon-Thurs 7am-4pm | Fri 7am-12pmAutomotive | Aerospace | CNC | Press ShopAn exciting opportunity to join a respected name in precision engineering based in Birmingham. We're on the lookout for a hands-on Quality Inspector to support production in our client's fast-paced machine and press shops. You'll work closely with a small team of quality professionals and play a key role in upholding the high standards their customers in the aerospace and automotive sectors demand.Key responsibilities:Inspect parts at First Off, In-Process, and Final Inspection stagesUse precision measurement tools (micrometers, verniers, height gauges, shadow graph etc.)Ensure all components meet tight tolerances from technical drawings Conduct internal calibrations on inspection equipmentCreate and maintain inspection reports, and chartsSupport production teams to maintain quality standards on the shop floorParticipate in internal quality audits in line with ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, and AS 9100:2016Required skills and Experience:Essential:Calibration experience Experience using measurement tools in a manufacturing environmentAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsBasic computer skills (Excel, Word, Gmail, etc.)Desirable:Auditing experienceUnderstanding of GD&T tolerancesExperience with CMM and/or Keyence (training provided)Benefits:Competitive hourly rate: £14.50 - £15.5025 days holiday + statutory holidays + extra day off on your birthdayCompany pensionHealthcare & discount packageOn-site parkingTraining for CMM programmingExtra leave for long serviceThis is a great opportunity to develop your quality career in a respected company with a long-standing reputation in the industry.
